William Hinton AM

William was the 4th child of six born to Ann Hinton. His father’s name is unknown at this time. He had one brother and four sisters. By 1881, he was living in Halesowen, working as an Inspector for the Inland Revenue, with his wife Sarah (nee Craddock), and he had two sons, William and Arthur. Following his AM action, William and his wife moved north to Kirkdale in Lancashire, and their family had grown to six children, with the addition of John, Florence, Mabel and James. He had become a Supervisor for Customs & Excise by the time of the 1911 Census.
