Little is known about the life of Mahabir Dubey, other than his actions in attempting to save the life of a woman whilst working as a gateman.
EM CITATION:
On April 3rd, 1929, a woman attempted at a level crossing to pass in front of two moving waggons. Gateman Mahabir Dubey called out to warn her, but finding that she had taken no heed and had slipped and fallen on the track, he rushed forward and endeavoured to drag her clear of the waggons. He was knocked over, receiving serious injuries, and the woman was unfortunately killed.
