EM CITATION:

On the 11th July last Stroud, who is a guard on the East Indian Railway, was employed on special duty at Bukhtiarpur Station, and was engaged in controlling a large crowd of pilgrims. Just as a passenger train was entering the station, an elderly Indian woman jumped on to the line intending to cross. Stroud at once jumped after her, and, though she had fallen, succeeded in dragging her out of the way of the train.
