Indian Campaigns Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the US Army at Vallejo, California. He served as a Private in Company B, 8th US Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action in the vicinity of the Black Mountains, Arizona Territory for action during August 13 to October 31, 1868. His citation reads “Bravery in scouts and actions against Indians. He received his Medal on 24 July 1869.
