Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Private in the US Army. He entered the service in Philadelphia, PA. He was in Company L, 2nd US Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action in Big Hole, MT, Camas Meadows, Idaho and Cascade MT for action between August 9 and 20, 1877. He received his Medal on 28 February 1878.
