Oliver Colwell MOH

b. 1834 Campaign County, Ohio. d. 12/10/1872 Rush Township, Ohio.

DATE OF MOH ACTION: 16/12/1864 Nashville, Tennessee.

Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Captain in the Union Army. He was awarded the Medal of Honor as a First Lieutenant in Company G, 95th Ohio Infantry for action on December 16, 1864 at Nashville, Tennessee. His citation reads “Capture of flag.” He was a prisoner of war. He received the Medal on 24 February 1865.
