Indian Campaign Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Corporal in the US Army in Company B, 7th US Cavalry. He entered the service in New York, New York. He was awarded the CMOH for action at the Little Big Horn River, Montana on June 25, 1876. His citation reads “Declined to leave the line when wounded in the neck during heavy fire and fought bravely all next day.” He was presented with his Medal on 5 October 1878.
