Charles Day MOH

Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. He served during the Civil War as a Private in Company K, 210th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his bravery on February 6, 1865 at the Battle of Hatcher’s Run, Virginia. His citation reads “Seized the colors of another regiment of the brigade, the regiment having been thrown into confusion and the color bearer killed, and bore said colors throughout the remainder of the engagement.” He didnt receive his Medal until 20 July 1897.
