DATE OF MOH ACTION: 09-11/09/1874 Washita, Texas.

Indian Wars Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served during the wars with the Plains Indians as a Sergeant in Company 1, 5th United States Infantry. He was awarded his medal posthumously for action at Upper Washita, Texas, on September 9 to 11, 1874. He received his Medal on 23 April 1875.
