Benjamin Paul Greensmith CGC MC

b. 1969 Derby.

DATE OF CGC ACTION: Between 01/10/2003 – 31/03/2004 Afghanistan.

Little is known about Benjamin Greensmith other than some details from his career in the Army. He was born in Derby in 1969, and served in Afghanistan and Iraq with the Parachute Regiment. In 2004, he was awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross for his gallantry in Afghanistan. He would later serve in Iraq where he would be awarded the Military Cross for his actions between October 1, 2007 and March 31, 2008.
