DATE OF MOH ACTION: 21/04/1914 Veracruz, Mexico.

Mexican Campaign (Vera Cruz) Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Seaman in the US Navy on board the USS FLORIDA. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action at Vera Cruz, Mexico on April 21, 1914. His citation reads “On board the USS FLORIDA Jarrett displayed extraordinary heroism in the line of his profession during the seizure of Vera Cruz, Mexico, 21 April 1914.” He was presented with his Medal on January 6, 1915 on the deck of the USS Florida at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, New York by Secretary of the Navy, Josephus Daniels.
