Indian Campaigns Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the US Army at San Francisco, California. He served as a Private in Company B, 8th US Calvary. He was awarded the CMOH for action in the vicinity of the Black Mountains, Arizona between August 13 and October 31, 1868. His citation reads “Bravery in scouts and actions against Indians”. He received his Medal on July 24, 1869.
