DATE OF MOH ACTION: 21/10/1876 to 08/01/1877 Cedar Creek, Montana.

Indian Campaigns Medal of Honor Recipient. He was AKA Alexander D. Munson. He entered the US Army in New York, New York. He served as a Private in Company I, 5th US Infantry. He was awarded the CMOH for action between October 21, 1876 and January 8, 1877 at Cedar Creek, etc., Montana.

He was cremated at the Fresh Pond Crematorium, Middle Village, New York City, New York, and his ashes were retained by his family.
