Cyrus Sears MOH

Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Colonel in the Union Army. He was awarded the Medal of Honor as a First Lieutenant in the Ohio Light Artillery, 11th Battery for action on September 19, 1862 at Iuka, Mississippi. He received his Medal on December 31, 1892.

 

MOH CITATION:

Although severely wounded, fought his battery until the cannoneers and horses were nearly all killed or wounded.
