DATE OF MOH ACTION: 21/10/1876 and 08/01/1877 Cedar Creek, Montana.

Indian Campaigns Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the service at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He served as a Corporal in Company A, 5th US Infantry. He obtained the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the CMOH for action during October 21, 1876 and January 8, 1877 at Cedar Creek, etc, Montana. His citation reads “Gallantry in actions”. He received his Medal on July 18, 1877 at a parade at the Cantonment at the Yellowstone and Tongue Rivers, Montana from General William T. Sherman. After his discharge from the United States Army, he disappeared into history, and his subsequent life and final disposition remain unknown.
