Philippine Insurrection Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Private in the US Army in Company F, 46th Infantry, US Volunteers. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action near Taal, Luzon, Philippine Islands, on January 18, 1900. He received the Medal on March 11, 1902.
