George Ladd MOH

Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the Union Army at age 35, and was mustered in as a Private in Company H, 22nd New York Volunteer Cavalry on February 2, 1864. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery at Waynesboro, Virginia on March 2, 1865. with his citation reads “Captured a standard bearer, his flag, horse and equipment”. Presented the Medal on March 26, 1865, he served through the end of the war, and was honorably mustered out on August 1, 1865 at Winchester, Virginia.
