DATE OF MOH ACTION: 25/07/1864 Benton, Arkansas.

Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Private in the Union Army in Company C, 3d Missouri Cavalry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on July 25, 1864 at Benton, Arkansas. His citation reads “Pursued and killed Confederate Brig. Gen. George M, Holt, Arkansas Militia, capturing his arms and horse.” He received the Medal in December 1864.
