Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. He was born in Ireland and entered the Union Army in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attained the rank of First Sergeant. He was awarded the CMOH as a Corporal in Company H, 5th Ohio Infantry for action on May 14, 1864 at Resaca, Georgia. He received his Medal on April 7, 1865.
