Jacob C MIller MOH

Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. Born in Bellevue, Ohio, he served as a Private in Company G, 113th Illinois Infantry, Union Army. During the siege of Vicksburg, Mississippi, on May 22, 1863, Private Miller was a member of volunteer storming party. At the charge, he was at the head of his attacking force where the enemy fire was the heaviest and the danger the greatest. For gallantry in the face of the enemy, he was awarded the Medal of Honor on August 20, 1894.
