Indian Campaigns Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the US Army in Sacramento, California. He served as a Private in Troop B, 8th US Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action in the vicinity of the Black Mountains, Arizona between August 13, 1868 and October 31, 1868. His citation reads “Bravery in scouts and actions against Indians.” He received his Medal on July 24, 1869.
