Indian Campaigns Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the US Army at Washington D.C. and served as a Private in Company K, 5th US Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action at Clear Creek, Arizona on January 2, 1873. His citation reads “Gallanty in action”. He was presented with his Medal on April 12, 1875, but little else is known about his life after this date.
