James McDonald MOH
He entered the US Army at Chicago, Illinois, and attained the rank of Sergeant. He served as a Corporal in Company B, 8th US Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action in the vicinity of the Black Mountains between August 13 and October 31, 1868. He received the Medal on July 24, 1869. After his discharge, McDonald returned to Edinburgh, Scotland where he died on July 21, 1915. His grave number is not yet known.
