James W Larrabee MOH

Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a First Sergeant in the Union Army. He was awarded the Medal of Honor as a Corporal in Company I, 55 Illinois Infantry for action on May 22, 1863 at Vicksburg, Mississippi. His citation reads “Gallantry in the charge of the “volunteer storming party.” He did not receive his Medal until September 2, 1893.
