DATE OF MOH ACTION: 27/06/1862 Richmond, Virginia.

Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a First Sergeant in the Union Army in Company E, 2nd U.S. Artillery. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on June 27, 1862 at Richmond, Virginia. His citation reads “Gallant and meritorious service during the Seven Days’ Battles before Richmond, VA.” He received his Medal on April 2, 1878.
