Joseph L Epps MOH

Philippine Insurrection Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served in the United States Army during the war against Philippine rebels as a Private in Company B, 33rd United States Volunteer Infantry. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery at Vigan, Luzon, Philippine Islands, on December 4, 1899. He received his Medal on 7 February 1902. 

 

MOH CITATION:

Discovered a party of insurgents inside a wall, climbed to the top of the wall, covered them with his gun, and forced them to stack arms and surrender.
