Indian Campaigns Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Army in Company M, 6th U.S. Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action on September 11, 1874 at Upper Washita, Texas. He received his Medal on April 23, 1875.
