Indian Campaign Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the US Army at Baltimore, Maryland. He served as a Corporal in Company L, 8th US Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action on July 3, 1869 at Hell Canyon, Arizona. His citation reads “Gallantry in action”. His Medal was presented on March 3, 1870. After his discharge from the United States Army, he disappeared into history, and his subsequent life and final disposition remain unknown.
