Simon Wright-Hider CGC
Simon Wright-Hider was born in Henbury, near Bristol. He attended both the Steiner Waldorf School in Clifton, and St Katherine’s School in Pill prior to enlisting in the Royal Marines. He was part of the 3 Commando Reconnaissance Force deployed to Afghanistan in 2011, where he would perform the acts which led to the award of the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross. His award was gazetted on 23 March 2012.
