Indian Campaigns Medal of Honor Recipient. He entered the US Army at Napa, California. He served as a Private in Company B, 8th US Cavalry. He was awarded the CMOH for action in the vicinity of the Black Mountains, Arizona between August 13, 1868 and October 31, 1868. He received his Medal on July 24, 1869. His citation reads “Bravery in scouts and actions against Indians”. After his discharge from the United States Army, he disappeared into history, and his subsequent life and final disposition remain unknown.
