Thomas W Thompson MOH

Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Sergeant in the Union Army in Company A, 66th Ohio Infantry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action on May 2, 1863 at Chancellorsville, Virginia. He did not receive the Medal until July 16, 1892.

 

MOH CITATION:

One of a party of four who voluntarily brought into the Union lines, under fire, a wounded Confederate officer from whom was obtained valuable information concerning the enemy.
