Little is known about Tony Kenneth Day, who was born in Surrey in 1964. He was a Corporal in the Royal Marines when during a tour of Afghanistan he performed an act of gallantry which led to the award of the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross. His award was announced on 29th October 2002 in the London Gazette. Following leaving the Army, Tony has become an Instructor with the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces. He has held that position since June 2018.
