William C Horton MOH

Boxer Rebellion Medal of Honor Recipient. Served in the American Chinese Relief Expedition during the Boxer Rebellion as a Private in the United States Marine Corps. He was awarded the CMOH for his bravery at Peking, China. His citation reads “In action against the enemy at Peking, China, 21 July to 17 August 1900. Although under heavy fire from the enemy, Horton assisted in the erection of barricades”. His Medal was issued on July 19, 1901.
