Civil War Medal of Honor Recipient. His true name was William H. Meyers. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and entered the Union Army at Baltimore, Maryland. He served as a Private in Company A, 1st Maryland Calvary. He was awarded the CMOH for action on April 9, 1865 at Appomattox Courthouse, Virginia. He did not receive his Medal until June 14, 1871.
